The Banking and Insurance Department at Iğdır University was established in 2010 to educate qualified individuals in the crucial fields of banking and insurance, which are key components of the financial sector. The program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental aspects of banking and insurance while embracing an educational approach that follows and applies the latest scientific developments in the industry.

• Program Outcomes:

Iğdır University Banking and Insurance Program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in the financial services sector. The main outcomes of the program are:

1. Ability to specialize in banking and insurance and work in assistant management positions.
2. To be proficient in computer use and to be able to use technology effectively in the banking and insurance sectors.
3. Ability to perform financial analysis and interpret balance sheets and income statements.
4. ​Ability to follow legal regulations and developments in the sector.
5. Having professional English knowledge and developing effective communication skills.

• Language: Turkish.

Double Major Program: It allows students to earn a bachelor's degree in a department they are interested in, in addition to their main department. In this program, students can complete courses in two different departments and earn a diploma in both fields.

Minor Program: Allows students to take a certain number of courses in a field they are interested in, outside of their major. Students who complete the minor program are given an official certificate in that field; however, this does not mean a second undergraduate degree.
