• History: 

Iğdır University Iğdır Vocational School Department of Finance is a program that aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills on economic and financial issues. The department, which has been providing education since 2010, offers courses with competent academicians on finance and economics. The department focuses on topics such as analyzing financial events, working on accounting practices and fiscal policies.

• Department Program Outcomes:
• Gaining the ability to analyze economic and financial events
• Competence in accounting practices and legislation
• Developing analysis and solution skills about fiscal policies
• Mastery of tax legislation and ability to interpret it
• Having knowledge about financial issues in public and private sectors
• Effectively using computer and communication technologies required in the field

These outcomes enable graduates to find a wide range of employment opportunities in the public or private sector.

• Language of instruction: Turkish.
• Program type: Associate degree (2 years).
• In addition to theoretical courses, students gain practical experience through 3+1 semesters of workplace practice and elective internship programs.

• Infrastructure Facilities:

The Department of Finance at Iğdır Vocational School provides students with training in basic areas such as public finance, accounting, economics, taxation and business. The department offers a curriculum based on applied courses and theoretical knowledge. Students prepare for business life with courses such as career planning and public finance, while also developing technical skills such as office programs.

In addition to courses such as general accounting, micro and macroeconomics, the department also provides training in areas such as basic law and professional mathematics. Students have the opportunity to be employed in different positions in the public and private sectors after graduation.

In terms of physical infrastructure, the university offers educational opportunities to students with various campus facilities and academic staff support.

• Course Content / Course Catalog

Double Major Program: It allows students to earn a bachelor's degree in a department they are interested in, in addition to their main department. In this program, students can complete courses in two different departments and earn a diploma in both fields.

Minor Program: Allows students to take a certain number of courses in a field they are interested in, outside of their major. Students who complete the minor program are given an official certificate in that field; however, this does not mean a second undergraduate degree.

Öğrencilere, belirli bir süre boyunca yurtiçi veya yurtdışındaki başka bir üniversitede eğitim alma fırsatı sunar.
